Do you fully understand the dynamics of why we read?
It has long been believed that readers want to recreate or recapture feelings. Psychology Today supports that belief, noting that consumers primarily use emotions, feelings, experiences, etc. rather than the information provided about the product or service. What this means to a writer is that readers naturally gravitate towards things familiar. Stop and think about your own reading experiences; if certain books inspire you, make you feel good about the world, or even entertain you... why would you not want to repeat the experience.
